This is Porta Latina, a road that leads to the most famous circus maximus to the ancient roman walls, on the left the little chapel of St. Giovanni in Oleo, one inside which is painted the torture of St. Giovanni
Near the church there is a park and the whole area is surrounded by a beautiful green. I took this photo in the full sunset, taking advantage of the direction of the sun and a small column beside the chapel that “split in two” the direction of the rays
WORKFLOW EXPLANATION
For the first thing I remove all the lens flare using other shots I take with my finger in front of the camera of the sun direction. Using a large dynamic range of shots with luminosity masks I managed sunrays close to underexposed shot. I added orton effect and with dodge an burn I made the main adjustments in the dark areas
With TTS Fast Panel I launched details and sharpening, I also increased foreground details using darks masks applied to high pass filters to make it better visible. As the final touch I fixed some contrasts in the midtones and in the brights using curves always applied to luminosity masks
I hope you will find this usefull, I’m always happy to ear feedback from you
