This summer I had the chance to visit one of the most famous location in Greece, the remains of Temples in Cape Sunion. Here, in a suggestive position, the remains of a Greek temple dedicated to Poseidon, and of a second temple dedicated to Athena, of which only the foundations are preserved
The temple is located right on the edge of a cliff which in addition to having a beautiful view of the sea also boasts the peculiarity of having the sunset in front of it, which is why it is one of the most visited places around Athens
WORKFLOW EXPLANATION
To make this shot I captured some exposures into the sun direction, I blended this images using exposure bleding to achieve a balanced image through shadows and highlights, after this I edited the image using luminosity masks to correct contrast. I increased the light coming from the sun with a warm filter, increased the color vibrance and with dodge and burn I increased the light over some foreground spots. I increased details over the whole frame and I increased darkness around the foreground to better enhance the sky and the temple to the viewer’s eye.
