Fog is a very important element that plays in your favor during autumn photography. Taking advantage of fog/mist  increase the change of contrast and the color separation makes the subjects stick out even more  that it’s the main subject of the image

I capture these shots during my workshop “Autunno in Tuscia” in one of the main locations planned and although the area lends itself particularly to daytime mists that morning we were particularly lucky and took home many interesting shots. In order to increase the contrast even more and improve the autumn colors I used the polarizing filter MKII CIR-PL for all these shots

WORKFLOW EXPLANATION

The edit of these images was very simple, this because the magic of fog does all about colors and contrast. 🙂 I used luminosity masks only to edit this image since these images was all single exposures. As first thing I increased details with the specific effect in TTS Pro, after increasing contrast I pushed up colors a bit. I launched a soft orton effect to increase the misty feel of the woods and fixed color cast

I always hope you will find this usefull. Love to ear this from you!
