One thing that lately is catching my attention as a landscape photographer is to photograph landscapes using different perspectives. For a very long time I focused on what was in the surroundings of what I was going to photograph to compose my shots but if we extend our vision the possibilities of composing and shooting it multiplies
This is the case of these two photos captured at Pale San Martino at the Dolomites. For all those other photos the photographic composition is focus on the details, on the light o on a particular thing that capture the attention, to make the most of these potentials it is good to always have a tele zoom lens that I have learned over the years to be a great added value also for the landscape photographer
In the two images you see I composed the photo using a moment of light filtering through the clouds on the mountains of Pale San Martino, an enchanting place that I visited for the first time this summer
WORKFLOW EXPLANATION
I edited all the images captured from a single shot using luminosity masks, with which I fixed lights and darkness and increased contrast to create more impact to the lights. I applied luminosity masks to a yellow filter and I applied it selectively to the lights hitting the mountains. I added a soft orton effect to the images to create a dreamy feel to this scenery and I added some extra details selectively to the mountains.
After last adjustments to the whole luminosity of the image I decreased noise and add a strong vignette to increase the effect of the light coming from darkness, all the steps above was done using my panel that allows me to do everything in less time with great results
