This summer I had the opportunity to return to Lake Carezza, a place that gives beauty to the eyes with its reflections and is a destination much appreciated by every landscape photographers. I have been here other times over the years and I captured this lake in practically every season of the year.
Each season is characterized by different colors but the most beautiful reflections are for me during summer, the lake acts as a perfect mirror to the imposing mountain that is reflected within it. I captured this photo from an exposure obtained through a polarizing filter in order to reduce the reflections of the sun at dusk on the water, in order to accentuate only the part of the colors of the reflections without direct light.
WORKFLOW EXPLANATION
As first thing I lightened the darker areas around the trees and the water reflection to give to the viewer a more balanced image, after this I increase details and a bit contrast using luminosity masks selectively. I decrease the higlights to better enhance the sky and increase a bit the color vibrance of the frame. With dodge and burn I paint some areas of the mountain that needs to decrease direct light fix. As last step I cropped the image to remove some rocks on the foreground that i which I didn’t like in the photo composition
I always hope you will find this usefull. I love to ear this from you!
