I have already been to this lake a few years ago, I return there after some time by pure chance on a warm late spring day. The lake in this picture is the lake Canterno which is located few kilometers , the lake is also called ghost lake since in the past the lake tended to empty and fill up as a result of a karst phenomenon giving rise to periods where the lake was not completely visible . Nowadays, although the karst phenomenon is fixed artificially, the lake is still subject to sudden changes in the water level which determine dry periods that reveal the underlying vegetation
To make this shot, this time I preferred a much more prominent shot towards the rock and for this I used the focus blending technique on the rock, on the leafs and on the mountain in the background. For this image I did not shoot using bracketing mode but I did all well balanced single shots
WORKFLOW EXPLANATION
I used focus blending between the shots I captured with different focus spots over the foreground, lake and background. After getting the base shot I added details using my panel than I fixed lights and darks and contrast using luminosity masks.
I fixed color cast and I added a glow look using orton effect, after this with a dodge and burn tool I fixed some spots around the frame incrasing lights and darkness, I pushed up colors and created a soft vignette around the image
As always I hope you will find this usefull. Love to ear that from you!
