Here we are with the first post of 2022, I take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy new year! I start the new year with the photos of my last trip to the Dolomites, they were fantastic days even if very short, intense and full of adventures
I took this photo at the end of an excursion at Cinque Torri, at the time of the shot the sun was still high but a beautiful warm light was starting to glimpse on the snow-capped mountains. I took this shot through a series of exposure bracketing with focus stacking and having a composition with a very strong prominent rock in front of me
I captured two different focus points on the big rock in the foreground and one on the background to get as much focus on the subjects as possible
WORKFLOW EXPLANATION
I started blending all the exposure shots taken on the various focus points using TTS Pro and the auto blend function that with few clicks helped me to create a final image with that focus. After blended all the resulting images to achieve focus stacking, after this I obtained the complete image to start my adjustments
I decreased a bit the whole luminosity of the image, added a soft warming filter to enhance the yellow tones of the light and with dodge and burn i lightened some parts of the mountains and on the rocks in the scene
With the help of luminosity masks I fixed lights and contrast in the scene, than I applied a soft fade filter and a orton effect to enhance the mystic atmosphere in the frame
As always I hope you will find this usefull. I like to ear this from you!
