
Before going to Val d’Orcia – Tuscany, Italy – I read about the main places to visit in the area. I really was impressed by a picture that portrayed a little chapel in the green beautiful valley of Val d’Orcia. So after a brief search, I came to find out that this is the Chapel is of the Madonna of Vitaleta near San Quirico. Going in this place for me was obviously a must, the chapel was not simply to reach because the road leading to the path of the church was closed by a gate, but after a good walk through the desert fields I reached my destination. What you see in this picture is the chapel of Vitaleta nestled in a splendor of sunset in the heart of the Tuscany Val d’Orcia, surely one of the most evocative images of those I have portrayed in those days.
