One of my favorite things about autumn is taking advantage of the natural framing with the foliage of the trees, this is what I do about this shot captured in Rome over the Pincio terrace. This is a very popular location but this side view have side sunset and more soft tones and it benefit of a great light too. The colors of the trees stand out towards the dome of the church of St. Marcello. To capture this shot I used the Hoya HD MKII CIR-PL, as I usually do for every autumn image the use of circula polarizer is very usefull to increase contrast in the sky and fall colors saturation.
WORKFLOW EXPLANATION
I used luminosity masks only to edit this image since this was a single shot captured handheld. I decreased the highlights, increased shadows and contrast. After fixing some chromatic aberrations around the leafs, with my panel, I increased details and sharpness. After these steps I launched a orton effect to create a soft dreamy feel to the frame. I added a warm yellow tone to the sky decreasing the effect selectively to not affect some areas like the foliage below the church. As last step I slightly decreased shadows and increased the vibrance of the sky
