Waterfalls are among my favorite subjects in both fall and spring seasons. In both these seasons it is possible to better admire the vegetation around the waterfalls, during autumn with typical orange colors, during spring from the lush vegetation. This photo is capture in a famous waterfall near Rome in a corner that I could see between the various waterways. Although this was not the main watercourse, the light that filtered through the foliage above the bridge made this scene is absolutely representative of spring

To make this shot I made a focus blending or focus stacking between the various elements of the vegetation in front of me. First the leaves at the bottom then the rocks around the watercourse and finally the leaves and the bridge, I captured every shot with a couple of exposures in order to have for each image a brigter and a darker exposure for digital blending

WORKFLOW EXPLANATION

I started the edit using from focus blending, I selected all the brights exposures captured between foreground middleground and background to blend into a single image, than I repeated the same steps for darker exposures. At the end of this I had two images that was the result of two focus blend to use in my digital blending. I made some adjustments on highlights and shadows, I increased the light coming from trees and lightened some part of the waterfall using dodge and burn

With orton effect I created a dreamy soft feel into this waterfall, than I corrected color cast increasing a bit the warm tones, I also increased glow around the water and as last step slightly darkened the foreground

I hope you will find this usefull. Love to ear that from you!
