Taken at sunset at Pamukkale in Turkey near Denizli, on the site of Hierapolis. The name that takes the valley is the “Cotton Castle”, made of this white limestone that looks like snow. The site got springs of hot water of flowing constantly on the rocks. It was not possible to walk with shoes on the rocks let alone support a tripod … 😀 so I took this HDR handheld (+1, 0-1) just as the sun was going down and then people were leaving the site. I processed this photo with Photomatix and retouched in Photoshop using Topaz Adjust and Nik software dampening effect with layer masks.
