Bled

Hi guys here we are as usual with the appointment of the weekly photo. As you could easily imagine I finished photos to edits ūüôā and thanks to the bad weather and many seasonal illness I have not succeded to shot anything new. This is why today I also propose a photo from my archive of photos taken from the past ūüôā

In this case we are talking about Lake Bled, a magical and beautiful place that I recommend everyone to visit at least once. Lake Bled is located in Slovenia, not far from Lubjiana, it can be reached by car in about an hour and a half from the highway and the whole area offers many other important places to visit and for excursions. I take this photo  in 2013 with my old Camera when I went on the island of the lake by rowing boat (it is one of the attractions of the place)

I hope to find time one day to come back here in Bled again, and take pictures with my new equipment soon!¬†In the meantime I look forward to leaving for my new trip at the end of March, ¬†for the location at the moment I ¬†want to keep it secret … ūüôā

WORKFLOW EXPLANATION

This is a single exposure shot, I fixed lights and darks using luminosity masks, with TTS Fast Panel I launched details and dodge and burn to increase details and brighten some part of the frame, specially around the bushes of the island

With a brush with soft light effect I incrased slighly yellows in the sky to give a soft look of drama in the sky. Always using luminosity masks, I increased contrast applying midtones excluing darks to curves layer. If you use my panel you can easily do this selecting  midtones 3 and subtracting by this, a dark layer pressing ALT keyboard and pushing on darks 2. After this if you lauch curves layer you could move only the specific selection of this and add contrast better

Last two passages was to decrease the lights in the sky and add a small vignette to create a dark mood to the image

As hope you will find this information usefull. I love to ear this from you!

Lake Path

Lake Bled taken from the jetty in the east side. I say it now, I replaced the original jetty in the image with this one you can see, the original one was not attractive at all, it was too short and flat. The rest of the landscape was pretty but it needed depth that I was able to give the picture thanks to the replacement of the dock. As you can see from the before after I have attached below other major edits were performed on colors and to the water. I made this HDR from three shots, I replaced the dock and worked with hue/saturation to bring him a shade similar to that of the rest of the image. For the rest I uniform all through the masks luminance and contrast.

The Bohinj Lake at sunset, just a wonderful view of a beautiful lake which I hope soon to see again. I think I have said enough in my previous post with a lot of shipping on the beauty of this place. ūüôā¬†To take this shot i put mytripod in the water but near the shore. When i shot this image the sun had just crossed the mountains, so when I edited this picture I used luminance masks to lighten the ducks and the lower part of the image that was quite dark in spite of the HDR

A time for Dream

I spent a whole afternoon immersed in the beauty of Lake Bohinj. This is the west shore of the lake just entered the country dominated by a small but very picturesque church. As I wrote in my previous article, the whole area around Lake Bohinj is a incredible and beautiful nature reserve to be able to turn to the evocative walks surrounded by nature and tranquility. I made this HDR just after the sun had crossed the mountains to avoid issues with lens flare. The  result was slightly dark cause by the sun behind the mountains,  I used the luminance mask to lighten the image.

Lake Bohinj is an incredible and magical place. After passing a magnificent road through incredibles Slovenian¬†campaigns¬†and wonderful¬†mountains landscapes, I finally arrived at Lake Bohinj (Ribcev Laz), it is all surrounded by nature and¬†among a great and luxuriant forests. The Lake Bohinj as well as being swimming, allowing you to dive for some minute in the peace and quiet of nature, it is also ¬†a terrific place for watching one of the best Slovenian Lanscapes. To take this HDR I entered myself with my feet in the water to take as a point of observation with reflections but without lens flares, and at last, because the situation demanded it for relax ūüėÄ

My first day in Ljubljana and the first thing I saw…¬†When I came here I was very impressed. Living in Rome I am accustomed to the beauty of some church but the Cathedral of St. Nikolaja is one of the most beautiful churches I’ve seen. ¬†It is not very big but by golden columns, the high ceilings and bright are very interesting to see. I came here almost at closing time, luckily there were not many people¬†I made the HDR from 3 exposures merged with the method of 32 bit and edited with the use of luminance masks.
