HDR Before/After – Vitaleta

I love the isolated places like this… the choice of the scene in peace to wait for the right moment to shoot. In those moments you think only at the spend of time without worrying about other things as often happens in cities with traffic cars and especially tourists 😀

I made this HDR with  five exposures with a gap of 1 (-2, -1, 0 + 1, +2). Then I merged the images with Photoshop CC with the function “Merge to HDR Pro”. I have to say that I was in doubt whether to use this function or flatten individual as I usually only using layer masks, but for this picture the HDR Pro function was very satisfactory so i kept this version. The rest of the interventions were all made using Camera Raw and masking the effect in the desired areas. I work particularly  in  lights and colors effects, some detail has been added on the buildings and on the turf, as a final touch, I created a small vignette to give more depth to the image.

Rainbow Overcast

Giuseppe Sapori - Rainbow OvercasstI took this photo in Hvar from the terrace of my hotel. What you see in this picture is the left side of the main harbour of the island, I made this from a single image, it is a single shot taken without a tripod leaning on a railing of the terrace. I mainly worked with the luminance masks and the Camera Raw Filter in  Photoshop CC to lighten / darken image elements.HDR

Giuseppe Sapori - My 2013

I decided to post this image different from the others cause this year is ending. This is a photo composition of a personal content, I decided to spend a few hours in an image that represent all the most important elements of my year. Although it may seem that it is only an object of fantasy but every element in this picture has a meaning for me, representative of 2013. I will not bore you by explaining the why of each and every item, leave the viewer with the single vision of the end result, hoping that you will appreciate the work.  I take this opportunity to thank you all and wish you happy holidays.

The Hideout

Giuseppe Sapori - The Hideout

This amazing place is in Gaeta a charming seaside town near Rome, where in addition to making excellent cuisine, there are also beautiful landscapes to admire, including the striking Turkish Cave. This cave is just the crack in the rock that you see in this post, according to the legend, the rift was created in the time of Christ’s death, when he tore the veil of the temple of Jerusalem. Along the steps leading into the bowels of the mountain you can see on the right wall with a Latin couplet alongside the so-called “Hand of the Turkish”, in the shape of a hand that would have formed when an “unbeliever” turkish sailor, who did not believe the story that had been told about the cause of the crack in the rock, was leaning against the rock that became incredibly soft under his pressure forming the imprint of the hand. The Turkish Cave is an amazing place to see with the naked eye to understand the greatness of so much natural beauty. The whole cave does not have to take a lot of light so I took this HDR 9 exposures well that I only edited with Photoshop and with the use of Luminance Masks.
