The Stage
Here we are in Gae Aulenti square in Milan as part of Porta Nuova neighborhood few minutes walking distance from “Garibaldi Station”. This brand new and equally beautiful neighborhood has become one of the main points of meeting in Milan, then in addition to being a new, modern architecturally is also full of people at all hours of the day. For those who come to Milan I recommend everyone a visit to Gae Aulenti area of the city you will love it!
But what about the shoot?, I took this picture from composition of two shots. I took first the part at the top with a view of the Unicredit tower, then a lower shooting where there are (at least partially) the “trumpets” a modern sculture inside there
WORKFLOW EXPLANATION
I selected two shots of the square that I merged using “photomerge” funcion inside Photoshop to create a unique image. As first thing I align the image using ruler tool, and it was not so easy in this image 🙂 Using luminosity masks I made some adjustments to lights and darks, I also increase yellows by the door outside.
Used dodge and burn around the darker part of the frame and i lightened the border of the hole. With TTS Fast Panel I increased details and sharpness. After a contrast fix using luminosity masks, i fixed some light adjustment using levels and that’s it!
I hope you will find this informations usefull, if you have any tips or question about it write to me. I’m always happy to hear it on you!
