Last of the pictures, I think ūüôā of ¬†the series¬†of shots taken along the walls of Dubrovnik, in this angle the walls were quite low so I tried to give the final image a vacuum down perspective. Picture taken entirely by free hand I was technically unable to put my tripod on the walls, I made 5 exposure brackets that I merged using Luminosity Masks, but I used it only 4 because being in favor of the last light was too overexposed.

TECHNICAL STUFF

Camera: Nikon D-800

Lens: Nikon 14-24mm f/2,8 (Shot at 16mm)

Five Shots (-1; 0; +1)

ISO: 100 at f/7,1

Software: Photoshop CC2015

The Ancient Way

Even on Dubrovnik walls, when it started the sunset on the way I came across this beautiful view with this bell and a fantastic sun flare, the walls of Dubrovnik offer endless possibilities for photographs along the perimeter of the city.

I made this image from 3 exposures, which combined with the Luminosity Masks and then edited using the Color Lookup technique, if you are interested you can read something about Color Lookup editing in my article on Camerapixo that explains how to do it.

For this image I put the Color Lookup filters as follows:

filmstock_50 set on 35%

fuji aeterna 250D set on 30%

kodak 5218 set on 15%

I also used the inevitable Nik Color Efex Pro to accentuate the yellow of the sunset and give more contrast to the final result

Lens: Nikon 14-24mm f/2,8

Five Shots (-1; 0; +1)

The Flight

This is one of many beautiful views that can be seen from the city walls of Dubrovnik, what you see in the distance is Fort Lovrijenac, a stronghold of the sea famous for its plays and importance in resisting Venetian rule, it overshadows the two entrances to the city, from the sea and by land.  Fort Lovrijenac was als a important location of the TV Series Games of Thrones On the right you can see parts of the walls almost completely refurbished and in very good condition, the full tour allows you to do a lot of good pictures between sea and city views.

I climbed the walls around 5.30 pm in order to have time to do the full tour and at the same time benefit from a favorable sunset light for photos, in this case the misfortune to have had the bad weather in the days of Dubrovnik proved providential having the opportunity to photograph beautiful cloudy sky. I took this picture freehand leaning from the walls to catch as much as possible the sea and the Fort Lovrijenac, I made 5 shots but I used only 4, the last was too overexposed.

Dubrovnik¬†taken from the top of the walls¬†that¬†characterize it.¬†Dubrovnik¬†is a beautiful Croatian town of great beauty Unesco Heritage , a place that for a very long time¬†I want to¬†visit and photograph. The pictures I ‘ve taken is at the top of steps of the walls¬†entrace¬†,¬†these¬†are the main attraction of the city and walk around the perimeter of Dubrovnik leaving you the chance to admire the beauty of the buildings and the cliffs on the sea.

During my stay in¬†Dubrovnik¬†I have been very unlucky with the weather having often found clouds and pouring rain. In fact I went to visit the walls of¬†Dubrovnik¬†in one of the rare non-rainy afternoons of my weekend. Also as it is seen from the threatening clouds ūüôā

I made five exposures for this photo but in fact I have used only three that I worked using Luminance Masks, I have not done a lot of color work for my coverage of this picture was very limited but I dwelt a lot of shadows and contrasts to give a slightly surreal look to the image

Sea Step

Giuseppe Sapori - Sea StepAnother photo at sunset from the beach of Split. During my stay in Croatia, in the evening I often did a walk on the beach drinking some beer and have a talk. In those days almost every evenings.
I wandered to the seafront in search of sights and interesting details. Honestly I have not yet figured out what is this thing that stretches along the coast. ūüôā I only know that giving some movement to the photo and the view. Regarding the editing I made five exposures to reach the final result that I worked primary ¬†on brightness and contrast. Now I work ¬†exclusively in Photoshop CC loading exposures as layers and processing them with layer masks.

Rainbow Overcast

Giuseppe Sapori - Rainbow OvercasstI took this photo in Hvar from the terrace of my hotel. What you see in this picture is the left side of the main harbour of the island, I made this from a single image, it is a single shot taken without a tripod leaning on a railing of the terrace. I mainly worked with the luminance masks and the Camera Raw Filter in  Photoshop CC to lighten / darken image elements.HDR
