As usual, also this year, as every year, it will be back of my annual photo composition. This is a photo manipulation obtained with all top elements of my year. In this photo manipulation every thing, object and person you see has its own meaning, its importance, its memory, a moment that I wanted to remember and keep with special affection in this 2016.  Places visited, travels, personal goals and all that was dear to me is pictured here. This is a representation of my 2016, a very personal meaning… but I hope to leave to you the fascination look of the picture that I hope will leave field even for your imagination. I hope you will appreciate the work…
Enjoy it

The Blackout

Series of exposures taken in the island of Ios, I can not tell exactly what place I retracting in this landscape, but what you see on the other side of the mountain is a sunset, harbour direction. I started taking these shots in the late sunset and continued in the following time. For this image I created a series of 7 shots in various moments of the evening, manually merged to get the final result, for longer exposures I used a 2 minutes time around. Benefited from the low-light town, in the highest exposures I managed to capture some passing star 🙂

I worked very much on colours, contrasts, and details, using longer exposures to the sky and to lighten the foreground which at times was too dark.

Giuseppe Sapori - Lights of Darkness

Picture taken on my last day of stay in Bled, this is a small service house for the rent of canoes lying on the lake, that evening it was a very unique and creative lighting that was created on this with a great cloudy sky but with many glimmers of light that filtered through the clouds. I created the HDR in Photoshop, edited in Lightroom in 32 bit, then I made changes with the help of luminance mask, and did some work on the color and sharpness.

TECHNICAL STUFF

Lens: Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8 (Shot at 14mm)

ISO: 100 at f/5,6

3 Shots (-2; 0; +2)

Software: Lightroom, Photoshop

HDR Before/After – The Beginnings

As I wrote in my previous post The Beginnings The house on the rocks of Villammare for me represents a starting point for the HDR, but this time than the first time i photographed this place, the technique used was different, so I tried the three exposures taken at sunset through the method of 32-bit HDR. The street running through the house on the rocks is a simple road that leads from the main one this place so it is not very busy with people in cars, I still had to wait about ten minutes that the sun is filtering through the clouds to get the ‘effect achieved.

TECHNICAL STUFF

Lens: Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8 (Shot at 14mm)

ISO: 100 at f/7,1

3 Shots (+2; 0; -2)

The house on the Rocks

Giuseppe Sapori - The house on the rocks

On the background the beautiful house on the rocks in Villammare, photographed on the beach during the sunset. This picture is a pure representation of a blending between a HDR made with Photomatix  and one 32-bit Lightroom made. After the blending through Photomatix, I treated the same image in 32-bit mode and I used layer masks to convey the effects of a photo inside the other. In fact, the rocks in the foreground were masked using the 32-bit effect since I do not particularly like the effect of “glamor” that Photomatix left on the rocks. In the water instead you can see the difference given by the soft colors of Photomatix. What do you think guys?

TECHNICAL STUFF

Lens: Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8 (Shot at 14mm)

The Beginnings

Giuseppe Sapori - The Beginnings

This picture has an important meaning for me. Years ago I took in this place one of my most beautiful HDR photos, and from that moment I realized that by engaging and persevering in refining my technique I would have better and better results. Now returned to this place … a little by chance, a little for fate, but it was a big jump in the past that gave me more than just a picture. I dedicate this photo to those who shared with me all these years my passion for photography and encouraging her reasons for it. The house on the rocks of Villammare is always in the same place, still waiting for me in time … when I come back again, this place will me think  again at all of this.

Giuseppe Sapori - The descent

First pictures of my week spent in the Cilento and in the Policastro’s Gulf. I took this HDR in Villammare, a village a few miles from Sapri, from a cove with descent to the sea on the rocks. Every day, from here you can admire a beautiful sunset, with ever changing colors and beautyful clouds. This will be the first of a long series of posts with pictures in the area. See you soon, stay tuned guys.
