The interior of the Sanctuary of Loreto, the building you see in white behind the candlestick is the famous Holy House. The tradition of the Holy House say that, in 1291, when the Crusaders were expelled permanently from Palestine, the brick walls of the house of the Virgin Mary were transported “for angelic ministry”. What you see depicted in white is nothing more than the outside of the house, inside it is not allowed to take pictures that although it is not so gorgeous, indeed quite simple affects its history and its beaufiful mystical charm.

Taking this photo was not at all easy, in fact many of the tourists, the faithful and pilgrims came out and entered the house as well, I had to do a job of shots of overlap between the pictures that I had taken with fewer people.

The church of St. Ignazio di Loyola in Campo Marzio, we are in the heart of Rome near the Via del Corso, where there is this beautiful church from the high ceiling and completely painted. The church of St. Ignazio di Loyola is among in the top ten most beautiful churches in Rome. The special feature of the church is that it has a fake dome, definitely well painted, but fake … in fact what the picture is perceived as a fresco black is nothing more than the fake reproduction of the effect of the dome from the inside, to overcome the lack of it that was never built.

Before going to Val d’Orcia – Tuscany, Italy – I read about the main places to visit in the area. I really was impressed by a picture that portrayed a little chapel in the green beautiful valley of Val d’Orcia. So after a brief search, I came to find out that this is the Chapel is of the Madonna of Vitaleta near San Quirico. Going  in this place for me was obviously a must,  the chapel was not simply to reach because the road leading to the path of the church was closed by a gate, but after a good walk through the desert fields I reached my destination. What you see in this picture is the chapel of Vitaleta nestled in a splendor of sunset in the heart of the Tuscany Val d’Orcia, surely one of the most evocative images of those I have portrayed in those days. Now you just have to imagine to be here…

A few weeks ago I was in Barcelona and I could not take pictures and post the Sagrada Familia. What to tell you guys… as Roman, I’ve seen hundreds of beautiful basilicas and churches but I realized that Sagrada Familia is definitely  Read more...in the top 5 of the most beautiful churches of all times. It ‘an immense work, shining and colorful, an explosion of details, colors and unimaginable magnitude. Trust me that any picture will not portray in all its beauty.

About the realization of the image of Sagrada Familia I am totally committed to the luminance masks, I cleared the bottom using the overexposed image and darkened instead the upper using the underexposed one.

With this post to wish you all a happy and peaceful Christmas and thank you all for the support you have provided me during this year.  🙂

This is the inside of the Basilica of Santa Sabina on the Aventino hill. It is considered one of the most beautiful churches of Rome, located on the top of Aventino hill of Rome certainly more fascinating of all.  Read more...It ‘a very old church and not particularly worked, but to appreciate the perfection and precision of its forms. Taking this photo was not at all easy, first because I had absolutely exploit sunlight that seeped from the large windows to avoid the whole church too dark then, as always, I had to wait for the long lines of tourists all day and all hours are in this church. After a few minutes and a few tips I could work…
For the realization of the final image I use HDR 32-bit technique so then I merged it with part of the exposures made to take advantage of all the available dynamic range.

In this picture we are the whole of the Basilica of St.Antonio into the heart of Sorrento. From the outside this looks like an ordinary church building, outside it is not too obvious about the typical shape of the churches, but inside as well as being beautiful and also reports of considerable lighst shows. I come inside the church for curiosity before dinner time, the church was open and magically there was not even a tourist, so I took advantage of the moment where there was no one, unfortunately, as I said I was going to dinner and I had no tripod with me so I made all from a single exposure, but I think it gave its excellent results the same 🙂

My first day in Ljubljana and the first thing I saw… When I came here I was very impressed. I took this HDR while walking to the center of Rome casually, this church located not far from the famous Teatro Marcello, the church name is Santa Maria in Portico in Campitelli and it is a very old church dating back to 1600. Inside undoubtedly affects the altar with a depiction of a Marian icon and the top features of the rosettes that characterize the main lighting of the church.
